Recommendations and Consultations
Artana’s collection includes art in several fine art mediums, mannerisms, formats and price points. While some of our clients are seasoned art collectors, many of our customers were once first-time art buyers. Entering into any new interest (such as art collecting) is exciting but it can also be confusing or overwhelming. Artana is interested in learning about your needs and preferences to better assist you in your quest for valuable original art. We also enjoy working collaboratively with interior designers, architects and developers to complete their vision, including commission work.
Basic questions such as What type of imagery appeals to you (abstract, realism, expressionism)?, Are you seeking a particular subject (seascape, figure, still life, pet portrait?), Is there a desired size?, Are you partial towards a particular medium (oil, watercolor, sculpture)?, Is your art budget for one work or several works? will immediately aid us in making appropriate recommendations. In addition to interactions at the gallery, we will also alert you to new work by artists you've shown a keen interest in. After all, with original art there really is only one available. We have found a working relationship expedites the placement process for those interested in owning art and it is our preferred way of conducting business.
Since art has a tendency to compete for your attention making a decision even more difficult, pieces that you favor equally in the gallery or on our website may not be equals when occupying a room in your company or home. To ease the burden of selecting and collecting the right piece, Artana will make a visit (complimentary 30 mile radius) to your business or residence with a group of paintings from your selection. During our visit we will analyze spaces available for new additions, and then determine its best placement. It is important to take into account proper viewing distance, light (natural or staged), surrounding art or furnishings, as well as the spirit of the room to fully enjoy art. If you wish we can also suggest ways to rearrange your collection to see it in a new light.
